Loving Burford

We walk ... we stroll ... we delight at every turn.

Burford is a medieval town in the Cotswold hills in West Oxfordshire, England. It had its earliest roots in the Saxon period. The town is on a hill which adds to its charm.

Since we've been here, we've visited a few other Cotswolds villages and, quite frankly, some are too small for what we wanted which is a variety of authentic shops, pubs, and restaurants within walking distance. Burford has given us precisely what we wanted. We've only started exploring the shops ... all of these are less than a minute from our front door ...

The pubs and restaurants ... thank goodness they are so inviting! Keeps Earl from having to cook too many meals!

We love walking the residential areas, too. We are in awe of how old and charming house after house is.

Since I was a young girl reading British books, I always wanted to live in a place like this. And now I am, at least for 3 weeks.
