Peppa Pig: Yet another reason to like England

My granddaughter Felicity would like a blog post for her ....

Felicity likes Peppa Pig very much! So do her brother and sister.

Felicity reads books about Peppa and brother George and Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig. Daddy Pig snorts. He is funny!

Felicity, did you know Peppa Pig started in England, the very country where Gram and Grandpa are now? A creative artist named Mark Baker created Peppa Pig and her family.

Because Mark Baker lives in England, he made the pig family an English family. One way you can tell the family is English because Peppa and George call their mother "Mummy" not "Mommy."

Here in England, we often hear boys and girls call their mother "Mummy."

Children in England really like Peppa Pig!

Today, Grandpa and I saw something I know you would like to ride. It was a play car with Peppa and George in the back seat. See how they have their seat belts on?

Boys and girls can sit in the front seat. You put money in the car and the car bounces a little bit, just like those cars Grandpa and I take you to that are by Wiggle Works.

If you are ever in England, you could ride in the Peppa Pig car. Here's a good idea! You could ride in the front seat and pretend you are Mummy Pig! Where would you pretend you are driving Peppa and George to?

Maybe someday there will be a play car like this close to you. Grandpa and I would like that very much!

  1. Felicity loves the idea of riding in Peppa's red car! She says, "Felicity loves Peppa." Thanks, Gram!

  2. "Someday, Felicity would like to go to the Peppa Pig store and buy a Peppa Pig." (I love how she is referring to herself in the third person!)

    1. When I say to her, "Who does Gram love?" she says, "Felicity!" But if I say to her "Who do I love?" she says, "Me!" So perhaps she referred to herself as Felicity after reading me referring to her as Felicity some of the time in the post.
