We've arrived at our Cotswold cottage
We are so delighted! This British cottage home is just what we wanted -- good thing, because we're here for three weeks! Ours is the unit with the open door in the photo below.
During our planning, we had chosen 5 different Cotswold towns that would be the best for our stay and the town of Burford was one of them. When we saw this little cottage in Burford on our internet search, we knew it was what we wanted. It did not disappoint!
Our address is Georges Yard, Burford, a 20-seconds walk from the high street. The main floor has a "lounge room" (I'm sitting at the little table and chairs right now, typing to you) and a kitchen ... upstairs is a bathroom and bedroom. That's it!
The building was built in the 1700s so the ceilings and floors are a bit slanted and there is creaking with every step you take, but we love it! Just the Cotswold experience we wanted.
We have a working fireplace and the kindling for it but so far we haven't needed it.
The owners are antique dealers so there are some nice touches. And some we have added of our own!
