Accordion concert rained out
The rain has been off and on today so we weren't surprised when we got to the outdoor accordion concert and it was rained out.
We knew it was likely going to be a no-go but we wanted another chance to walk around Lucerne anyway, even in light rain. I told The Mister as we were walking that I wish we would have planned for one less day in Paris and had it in Lucerne instead. Man, this place speaks to me.
May I show you a few more photos if I promise you don't have to look at any when I get home? Let's start with the Catholic church, St. Leodegar (below). Of course the most beautiful church I've seen on this trip would be in the prettiest city! I also like how they have a place for children like the church in England, and this place is close to the altar.
Here are some other favorite photos from today (below) starting with a McDonalds McCafe that you would actually like to visit.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) we drive out of Switzerland ... go to the country of Liechtenstein just because (it's a country that has more corporations than people!) ... and on to Austria. We'll stop for the night soon after we cross the border into Austria.
Then on Thursday we find our place in the mountains outside Salzburg where we're staying for TWO WEEKS and find out whether it's a giant mistake or not.
Tonight we spotted our terrace from the backstreet below. Look down the street, up on the left, and that railed-in area on the fifth floor is our terrace.
And here's our view from the terrace tonight. Goodnight, Lucerne.
Thanks for reading my blog.
